The importance of the nuclear forty and the reason for its compositionThe book (Al-Nawawi’s Forty) is considered unique in its characteristics and features, and it is one of the most prominent books, in which he collected forty prophetic hadiths that include the collections of the word of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.Al-Nawawi was preceded by a number of scholars in authoring forty hadiths, some of them focused on the hadiths of the principles of religion, and some of them on asceticism...
Al-Nawawi referred to that; Where he said: “Among the scholars who collected the forty in the fundamentals of religion, some in the branches, some in jihad, some in asceticism, some in manners, and some of them in sermons, and all of them are good purposes, may God be pleased with those who intended them, and I saw the collection of forty more important than all of this, It is forty hadiths that include all of that, and each hadith of them is a great base of the rules of the religion, and the scholars have described it as the orbit of Islam on it or it is half of Islam, or a third of it, or so.”[1]It should be noted that the majority of the forty hadiths of al-Nawawi are authentic, and this does not negate the existence of a small percentage of good hadiths, and others, and some of them are agreed upon.

The motive that prompted Imam al-Nawawi to this composition is apparent in his saying: “We have narrated on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, Abdullah bin Masoud, Muadh bin Jabal, Ibn Omar, and Ibn Abbas, Anas bin Malik, Abu Hurairah, and Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may God be pleased with them from many paths, with various narrations - that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Whoever memorizes forty hadiths from the matter of her religion, God will send him on the Day of Resurrection among the group of scholars and scholars.” )).....And he indicated that he did not rely on this hadith for his creativity, he said: “However, my reliance is not on this hadith, but on his saying: “So that the witness among you may reach the absent,” and his saying: “May God bless a person who heard my statement and understood it, so he performed it as he heard it.”Al-Nawawi pointed out the importance of this book; Where he said: “Everyone who desires the afterlife should know these hadiths, because of the important tasks they contain, and they contain warnings of all acts of obedience, and that is apparent to those who contemplate it.
